Enrolment
- Firstly, you need to make sure you understand the ‘UUNZ Withdrawal Policy’ - You can find it from UPortal or on your Offer of Place.
- Once you have decided to withdraw from your course, an application must be made in writing with reasons in full by filling up the ‘General Request Form’.
- Please allow us 5 working days to process your request.
- You will then be advised on our decision.
- On successful withdrawal, UUNZ will inform Immigration New Zealand to terminate your student visa.

- If you wish to withdraw from your course and apply for refund, an application must be made in writing with reasons in full by filling up the ‘General Request Form’, please remember to clearly state your designated bank account on the form.
- Please allow us 5 working days to process your request.
- You will then be advised on our decision.
- Upon approval of your refund, you may be asked to fill in a ‘Public Trust Refund Form’ and provide your ‘most recent bank statement’ as evidence of your designated bank account.
- On successful withdrawal, UUNZ will inform Immigration New Zealand to terminate your student visa.
- Please note that once you have started your study with UUNZ you may not be eligible to receive a full refund.
- If you wish to change the programme, we advise you to discuss with our Admission and Enrolment Officer or Marketing Officer in advance.

- Please be reminded that if you already hold a student visa, you will need to apply for Variation of Conditions (VOC) with Immigration New Zealand if we have approved your application.
Your timetable will be individually sent to you via email, but it can also be printed out at Reception should you need to.
- On and after the result release date, you can find the grade of your subjects from UPortal.
- If you are still unsure, you may come to the Reception and someone will assist you.

Library
Current students or alumni.
- Please bring the book to the counter at the Library on Level 7
- The Librarian will record your details and process your reservation
- If you wish to reserve a book that has been issued already, you can apply to be put on the waiting list.
- Please provide the book’s full information to the Librarian.
- He/she will help you to look for it.
- If we do not have stock, or alternatively for your convenience, you can also become a member of the Auckland City Library for free and gain access to a wider range of books.
Student Welfare
- The conditions of your student visa will state clearly the right to work and the maximum hours per week which you are allowed to work.
- If you are still unsure, you can contact INZ directly for accurate information based on your visa conditions.
- To purchase insurance, you need to fill out the ‘Insurance application form’ and pay the fee at the Finance Department on level 6.
- You may collect your insurance card at the Reception when it is ready.
- All students are welcome to talk to the UUNZ Learning Support Team if you have any issues with your studies, or in living in New Zealand.
- A Learning Support team member will try their best to provide the information you need to solve your problems.
- You can find them at any of the left hand side counters at Level 6 from Monday to Friday during the school working hours (9am – 6pm).
If I need my attendance report, transcript or enrollment confirmation letter, where can I submit my application?

- If you require any of the mentioned documents, you need to fill out the ‘Request for Issue of Documents’ form and submit to the Reception Desk at level 6.
- Please allow at least 5 working days for us to process your request.
- All requests will not be processed unless the fee is paid.
- Please check the ‘UUNZ Supplementary Fees List’ for more information.
- If you have received an email regarding your attendance rate, it means that your attendance rate has fallen below that of the INZ requirement.
- You need to follow the instructions of the warning and contact UUNZ immediately to explain the reasons why you were absent for classes.
- You will need to make a written promise that you will attend all the rest of your classes.
- Failure to attain the approved percentage for attendance can result in suspension or expulsion and termination of student visa.
How can I apply for justification of my class absence, sick leave, medical leave or personal leave?

- If you have personal reasons that have resulted in your absence to classes, you need to come to UUNZ in person to fill out the ‘General Request Form’ by explaining the reasons and providing supporting documents, such as a valid medical certificate or letter of justification from a valid source (in case of personal leave).
- Please be reminded that submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
- All applications will not be processed unless acceptable proof has been submitted along with the application.
- You need to fill out the ‘ID application form’ again and submit it to the Reception Desk.
- Please be reminded that there is $20 fee applicable when applying for a replacement student ID card.
- You'll need an attendance letter and academic transcript, and an Offer of Place and receipt if you've enrolled in another course.
- You may also need a progress report.

- To provide quality homestay for UUNZ students and offer support to our students, UUNZ delegates a professional homestay agent to arrange the homestay for you.
- An on-site assessment will be made to make sure the host family is suitable for hosting international students.

- Any requests for campus tours need to be submitted to the learning support team (learning.support@uunz.websitepreview.co.nz).
Does UUNZ Institute of business offer job placement services to students? What extra costs are involved?

- HOWEVER, Services offered to assist our students in searching for a desired job placement include:
- Counselling and advice on internships and job placement by appointment.
- Workshops covering topics including: finding a job, career directions, CV and cover letter writing, networking and using LinkedIn.
- Regular announcements via careers@uunz.websitepreview.co.nz regarding job and internship opportunities.

- Yes. UUNZ has a number of bilingual/multilingual staff to care for students coming from various countries.
- There is always someone here to offer support and guidance in your studies and everyday issues while staying in New Zealand.
- An appointment is required, but we will offer help to you on the spot when needed.
- Please come to level 6 and approach any of the support team on the left hand side counters.
